Hey guys,
I want to put together a rough timeline of events over the next few months. The off-season is always so boring, but it gives us time to spend on the things that really matter - Friends, family, and 26 yr-old virgins. Lol.
1. December 1st, 2017 - This is when all players that are currently on your DL, must be removed from the DL and added to your roster or dropped. I know we discussed adding two roster spots, but because I am unable to do so before next season, we will go into 2018 with our current 30 man roster. Please make the arrangements over the next few weeks. Any players listed on your DL after Dec. 1st will be dropped - please don't make me do this.
2. Late January/early February 2018 - We will hold our annual First-year player draft around this time. We will hammer out an exact date after Christmas. Please go through your rosters to make sure all prospects have been added to the master list. I've been shitty this year with keeping the list updated, and I apologize for that. Hopefully I can sort it out before the draft. **Also, please make sure your draft picks match up with the Draft pick list. Please send any errors or omissions to myself or Welts.
3. When ESPN does it's 2018 pre-season shutdown, we will organize a draft for the two extra roster spots. This will be based on the previous year's standings, and there will be no trading of picks. Hopefully we can get it done quickly.
Thanks everyone.

Just to confirm, DL spots can stay if there's an injury like TJ surgery, correct? (Joe Ross being my example.)

Correct. Anyone that is expected to start the next season on the DL (proof must be provided if questioned) can be removed from your ESPN roster, and a ‘Stash List’ will be created for those players.

I believe all 3 guys I just dropped should be eligible for me to keep them. Trevor Rosenthal, Nate Jones and Tyler Thornburg. Rosenthal for sure anyways.

Jones: Nate Jones also succumbed to a nerve repositioning procedure this past July, and Rick Hahn said he expected Jones to be ready when pitchers and catchers report.
Thornburg: Thornburg hasn't stepped foot on the mound yet in a Red Sox uniform, and missed the entire 2017 season after undergoing surgery to treat his thoracic outlet syndrome in mid-June. He should be ready to go heading into spring training, and could be a valuable weapon out of the team's bullpen if he's able to find his form from last year.
Rosenthal: Rosenthal is set to miss all of the 2018 season recovering from Tommy John surgery.
I’d say Rosenthal qualifies. The other two, not so much.
