We will (tentatively) be starting the First Year Player Draft at the beginning of February. Order will be determined by the reverse of last years standings, posted below. Each team will have 24 hours to make their pick. However, it would be common courtesy that if you are online and on the clock, you should go ahead and make your pick, or notify us of why you are waiting (i.e. talking with someone about trading your pick, etc.).
Optimally, I would like to have a 10 round draft, create a separate, 10 player Rookie Roster for everyone. At the All-Star break, roster sizes would expand to 25, and you could select which rookies, or all of them if you have/make room, to add to your 25 player MiLB roster. The original plan was for a 5 round draft, where you could choose whether or not to make a pick in any given round. For example, if I had 18 players on my MiLB roster, I could choose 2 players in the FYP draft then decide there was no one that I liked better left in the FYP pool and forego my last 3 picks. Or, I could choose 3 players and drop 1 player that I currently have on my MiLB roster.
I'm open to either route for the draft. I'd like some league input about which way you guys would prefer.
We are waiting on filling the last three openings in the league before beginning the draft. We have filled Syndergaard's SARS Guard (Welcome to the league, Joel (One Hit Wonders)). We still need to replace owners for:
Great Warriors
Desert Eagle .50
The Mariners
We can begin as soon as we have filled those three vacancies.
The order for the draft will be as follows:
1. The Welt WeltTacular
2. Liquor For Breakfast
3. Catch-A-Fire
4. Crownman
5. Rovolution No.9
6. The Mariners
7. Liberty City Sawed Offs
8. Filthy Swagg
9. The Carebears
10. Great Warriors
11. Silvertips
12. Desert Eagle .50
13. One Hit Wonders
14. Kanata Krush
15. Last Chance
